Anjarle – the lost village

A village called Anjarle, which has been in the same condition for ages, located in the Konkan side of Maharashtra India, has one of the best beaches in the country. You will not see more than 10 people on the beach. Water is crystal clear. View is magnificent. You can see the ‘Harne’ fort which was built by Shivaji Maharaj. Apart from the beach, the village has the a beautiful Lord Ganesha temple, popularly known as ‘Kadyavarcha Ganpati’ by the locals and the tourists. This temple is probably the only place visited by tourists. That is the main reason that the village is completely untouched and still remains very beautiful and serene. Other places worth visiting in the village are Durga Temple & Kaalbhairva Temple, Vimleshwar Temple. School in Chhattisgarh asks students to plant trees instead of paying fees

A school called Shiksha Kuteer, located in Ambikarpur city in the state of Chhattisgarh, came up with a unique environmental initiative. It is asking the parents of the students to plant trees instead of paying school fees. The school has 35 students and helps children of the poor families for quality education. It’s been almost a year that the school has opened and over 700 plants have been planted in and around the area. Happy News indeed!
